Emirates Securities Market Report for the Trading Session of 2012-02-02.
The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by -0.24% to close at 2414.10 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has lost 0.84 Billion AED attaining 356.88 Billion AED. A total of 205.84 Million Shares were traded with a total value of 281.28 Million AED during the trading session of 2012-02-02 through 3697 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 51 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 18 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 26 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
«Emaar Properties» came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of 71.15 Million AED distributed over 25.33 Million Shares through 583 transactions. «Arabtec Holding Company» came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of 44.97 Million AED distributed over 20.62 Million Shares through 445 transactions.
«National Takaful» shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at 0.71 AED with 7.69% increase during the trading of 0.53 Million Shares with a trade value of 372.65 Thousand AED. Whereas «Al Salam Bank - Sudan» shares Increased by 4.29% to close at 1.70 AED during the trading of 39.57 Thousand Shares with a trade value of 66.97 Thousand AED .
«Mashreq Bank» has achieved the lowest decline by -9.90% to close at 91.45 AED during the trading of 17 Thousand Shares with a trade value of 1.56 Million AED. Followed by «Union Properties» which dropped by -9.84% to close at 0.28 AED during the trading of 17.4 Million Shares with a trade value of 5.04 Million AED .
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 3.103%, with a total accumulated trade value of 4.29 Billion AED . The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 45 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 40 companies.
As of today the «Real estate» sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 8.6817% to settle at 1865.77compared to 1716.72 points by the end of last year. Followed by the «Transportation» sector index with an increase of 6.07% to settle at 1788.84 points. Followed by the «Telecommunication» sector index with an increase of 4.17% to settle at 1742.11 points. Followed by the «Industrials» sector index with an increase of 2.85% to settle at 699.957 points. Followed by the «Banks» sector index with an increase of 2.47% to settle at 1574.82 points. Followed by the «Consumer Staples» sector index with an increase of 1.36% to settle at 850.770 points. Followed by the «Energy» sector index with an increase of 1.08% to settle at 119.234 points. Followed by the «Insurance» sector index with a decrease of -0.2% to settle at 1789.97 points. Followed by the «Services» sector index with a decrease of -0.6% to settle at 1166.90 points. Followed by the «Fin/Investment» sector index with a decrease of -0.8% to settle at 1610.37 points.
