Emirates Securities Market Report for the Trading Session of Tuesday 07 September 2010
The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.94% to close at 2,513.06 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained 3.44 Billion AED attaining 370.54 Billion AED. A total of 260.62 Million shares were traded with a total value of 682.00 Million AED during the trading session of Tuesday 07 September 2010 through 4,921 transactions. The Services sector has increased by 1.09% , followed by the Banks sector that increased by 0.98% , followed by the Industry sector that increased by 0.36% , followed by the Insurance sector that increased by 0.13%.
The number of companies which has been traded is 59 out of 131 companies listed in the market. Shares for 36 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 15 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
«First Gulf Bank» came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of 251.47 Million AED distributed over 18.44 Million shares through 118 transactions.«Emaar Properties» shares followed by 114.86 Million AED distributed over 31.63 Million shares through 872 transactions.
«TABREED» shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at 0.38 AED with 6.15% increase during 9.77 Million shares traded with a trade value of 3.61 Million AED. Whereas «Sudan Telecom - SUDATEL» shares Increased by 3.98% to close at 2.35 AED during the trading of 2,000 shares traded value of 4,700 AED.
«Global Investment» has achieved the lowest decline by 7.65% to close at 0.821 AED during 72,633 shares traded with a trade value of 59,601 AED. Followed by «National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain» which dropped by 6.67% to close at 2.1 AED during the trading of 9.30 Million shares traded value of 19.53 Million AED.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has declined by -9.33%, with a total accumulation trade value of 76.42 Billion AED. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 20 out of the 131 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 79 companies.
The Banks sector index has the lead over the other indices, with a declination of -4.83% since the end of last year to settle at 2,796 points.Whereas, the Industry sector index has declined by -10.72% to close at 305 points.Followed by the Services sector index with percentage of -11.91% to settle at 2,244 points.Followed by the Insurance sector index with percentage of -15.44% to settle at 2,799 points.
